In honor of World Earth Day April 22, this week we are going green at CheapOstay.
World Earth Day was created 39 years ago when Senator Nelson decided that we needed a dedicated day to shed a light on the state of the Earth. His main aim was to inspire people to care about the environment we live in and encourage people to actively participate in the earth’s conservation.
World Earth Day provides us with a positive message it is not there to tell us what we are doing wrong but to let us know what is going on and also to give us a pat on the back and to keep up the good work!
So this week we will be delving into all things green when it comes to hotels!
First things first, what makes a green hotel? A green hotel can be best described as a hotel that makes an effort to lower their energy and water usage and reduce their solid waste.
So this week we will be giving hotels a special pat on the back for all their efforts in helping conserve the Earth. Along with providing you with some tips on how you can be green.
Here is something to consider!
Before you leave turn off all electrical appliances in your home. Not only will it save you on your electricity bill while you are away.
Did you know? That an appliance uses 40 watts of electricity per hour even if it is not in use!

Green hotels are now becoming more popular, I like it.
